Mr. Korol's career has been multifaceted and based on broad experience within government service, the water-well drilling, mining and petroleum industries. Acquired technical expertise in coalbed methane, shale gas, hydrogeology, groundwater flow and contaminant modeling, groundwater source development, water well installation, environmental evaluations, geological modeling, heavy oil reservoir engineering, and geostatistics.
Project management and supervision of field operations skills ensured technical excellence that withstood scrutiny by regulators and general public in open meetings and hearings. Developed software to identify permeable coal and shale critical for successful development of coalbed methane and shale gas development.
Groundwater evaluations included water supply, landfills, housing developments, oil developments, mine tailings and coal, uranium, potash, oilsand, bauxite, gold and lead-zinc mines. National and international exposure gained on projects in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Colorado, Mexico, Suriname, Mongolia and the Ukraine.
